A 6×30 min sitcom about two young dads on paternity leave in a West Yorkshire mill town, getting to grips with fatherhood whilst trying to find activities for dads ‘n’ tots in a very female world.
Developed over a two-day sitcom writing masterclass with Laurence Marks (Birds of a Feather, Goodnight Sweetheart). The place on the masterclass was offered to Jamie by IdeasTap, who were a huge contributor to the professional development of many emerging writers and artists before their sad closure in 2015. Over two days Laurence taught Jamie a great deal about sitcom writing, and following his advice Jamie developed the pilot episode for Paternity Leave.
He is now seeking interested parties to take the script further.
